There are numerous alternatives such as hiking, climbing, via ferrata, biking. Please enquire directly.
Accommodation
Accommodation is in a rural rustic Finca set in the middle of olive groves and citrus fields. There is a swimming pool, slack lines, climbing wall, and table tennis table to avail of. On entering the Finca, you will immediately notice the laid back feel to the place. The trip price includes shared dormitory accommodation, however there are other options such as private rooms and various sized self contained apartments.

ITINERARY
DAY 1 | Welcome to El Chorro
Guests can arrive at any time on arrival day. There will be a welcome meeting with drinks and dinner in the evening. You will meet your guide and can ask any questions you may have. You will be informed about activities and timings of the trip.
DAY 2 | Mountain loop
After breakfast of tea/coffee and snack, you will head out on an early morning run directly from your accommodation. Your guide will give you options where you can shorten your run or keep going to experience the magic of our scenery and vistas at the top of our local mountain. This will be a loop run. On arrival back at the Finca, you will be treated to a well deserved sumptuous lunch. The afternoon will be free to explore the local hiking trails or simply relax by the pool.
DAY 3 | Valleys and lakes
Today will be a later start, therfore you can enjoy a tasty breakfast buffet and have a leisurely morning. This is a linear run through El Chorro village and up through the valley to arrive at a panoramic view of our amazing lakes. You will arrive at a local Spanish restaurant. Here you can experience Andalusian tapas in an authentic setting (not included in the price). This will be followed by an optional dip in the fabulous lakes, before returning to your accommodation in the transport provided.
DAY 4 | Rest day/climbing/Camino del Rey
This middle day is traditionally a rest day but for the adventurers among you, you might like to try something new like sport climbing or a via ferrata. Alternatively if you let us know in advance, we can reserve a ticket for you for the world famous Camino del Rey. Today you will be provided with a picnic style lunch so you can enjoy your day as you wish.
DAY 5 | Hidden trails
Another early start today, heading up through the valley, you will be guided on local hidden trails, through pine forests and over rivers, keep an eye overhead for the vultures. At various stages today on your trail, you should be able to spot the world famous Camino Del Rey from above. There are two alternatives on this run: you can choose to take the transport provided back to the accomodation or you can continue on foot and return on the trails. Relax by the pool before we finish the day with a delicious homemade group dinner at the Finca.
DAY 6 | Wind mill loop run
Leaving the Finca you will pass by various olive farms. This is a steady climb up to the top of the peak. The view from the windmills is spectacular, overlooking the white village of Ardales. Dropping down you will join the famous GR7 route and take the trail on the opposite side of the valley.
DAY 7 | Valle village loop
Today’s run will be flatter and mellower passing through various citrus farms and fincas on the trail to a small traditional Andalusian village. On one of the rest stops you will be able to pick an orange from the tree to quench your thirst. The views of the backside of the mountain are stunning. The change in scenery at every corner will help you forget about your tired legs.
DAY 8 | Departure Day
