Description
A flat and short running tour that passes Florence’s most beautiful and famous squares and architectural pearls. On this running tour you will pass though the medieval heart of the town and see Santa Croce, the Uffizzi, Ponte Vecchio, some hidden corners and surprising spots.
Santa croce will impress you with its magnificent front while the Ponte Vecchio will bring you over the Arno. Runners will be able to view the small gold shops that are still today located along the bridge. Running along, we will also pass by the world famous Uffizzi Museum that is renowned for its art collections.
In addition to the main sights, runners will also experience the vibe of Florence and run along the small and quaint streets of this incredible city that used to be the European centre of trade during the middle ages. While we run, we will tell you some secret stories about the ancient buildings, like the famous dome of Santa Maria del Fiore by Filippo Brunelleschi, and the ancient families, like the Medici, from the so called “Cradle of Renaissance”.
This running tour is a dive into history and beauty suitable for every kind of runner, from the fast businessman with limited time to the family with small children. The tour duration varies on your personal pace from approximately 1hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
