This tour brings you to some of most spectacular spots in Florence. Starting at the Ponte Vecchio we run uphill to Piazzale Michelangelo, the best sightseeing point from which you’ll admire the so called “cradle of Renaissance”. Thereafter we run on the hill from which we can spot the romanesque abbey of San Miniato, one of the oldest churches in Florence with a magnificent decoration in green and white marble.
There we run along the the picturesque Erta Canina, a narrow street going down back to the city center. Runners will pass through one of the gates of the remaining parts of the city wall before we reach the Pitti Palace, the Medici court, the biggest historical palace of Florence facing the marvelous garden of Boboli.
After crossing the river again via the ancient Ponte Santa Trinita we will dive in the green heart of Florence, the Cascine park, Cosimo I de’ Medici farming estate. This huge park combines a romantic feeling with the scientific interest of a Botanical Garden. Running this tour, you will find yourself diving into the magnificence of the Medici dynasty.
