KUALA LUMPUR FORESTS ADVENTURE - 21K
Runner on the ground - PATRICK
We will meet at Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square) in KL, right by the KL Zero Milestone and the historical buildings. We’ll start by running towards the River of Life, where the two most important rivers in Malaysia meet. Along the way, we’ll pass by Masjed Jamek, the oldest Mosque in KL, known for its beautiful Moorish architecture.
After that, we’ll head to the happening spots in KL, including the uber-modern KL Twin Towers and its park. You’ll be able to enjoy the great views of the towers in the beautifully landscaped KLCC Park, which features a 1.3 km rubberized jogging track, gorgeous gardens, a lake with a fountain, and good facilities.
Next, we’ll continue our run through the deep jungle forest of Bukit Nanas Eco-Forest, right in the middle of downtown KL. The contrast between the concrete jungle and the lush greenery of this natural forest is surreal. Don’t miss the Canopy Trail for a view from above! It’s a breath of fresh air amidst the urban surroundings.
From there, we’ll head to Taman Tugu, a 66-acre public park and conservation site located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. You’ll be amazed by the stunning green space, rolling hills, tranquil lakes, and winding paths. Keep an eye out for the diverse flora and fauna, and you might even spot monkeys, lizards, birds, and more. It’s like being lost in a tropical rainforest!
Our last stop will be the Perdana Botanical Gardens, a peaceful oasis in the bustling city. With its towering trees, rolling hills, and serene lake, it’s the perfect place for a run. Take in the natural beauty and appreciate the cultural significance of this park, located near Parliament, the National Museum of Malaysia, and the Central Railway Station. Don’t forget to say hello to the adorable deer at the KL Deer Park!
We’ll finish our run back at Dataran Merdeka, where it all began. This tour offers a mix of tarmac road and soft ground trail, allowing you to experience the coexistence of a deep tropical rainforest within the heart of KL.
If you’re a running enthusiast who loves nature and rainforests, this is a must-do experience!
