Runner on the ground - CITLA

On this tour you will run through the heart of Mexico City. As you run through the main downtown streets you will discover a combination of our most ancient history, the architecture from the XVI to XIX century as well as 21st century State of the Art buildings.

Reforma Avenue, an ancient road for the Emperors Maximiliano and Carlota is nowadays a modern street filled with impressive corporate offices and the financial center of Mexico.

We will also experience the historical side of the city. The Constitution square or “Zócalo”, as it is usually called, is surrounded by colonial architecture like “La Catedral Metropolitana” (Metropolitan Cathedral), Mexico’s Presidential offices, the “Palacio Nacional” and the “Templo Mayor”, the main building of the old “Tenochtitlan”, the Aztec City. Also the “La Alameda”, a park where the aristocratic society of the 19th century used to walk and hangout during the weekends, is an area you will discover on this tour.

These are just some examples of the wonderful places you will see in this incredible running tour, through one of the most populated, busy and complex cities of the world.
Come on and discover our vibrant and vast culture on the Historical Downtown tour.

We had a great morning running tour with Citla. She picked us up at our hotel, showed us many of the most important sites, and told us the stories and history behind many of the sites. Citla was so friendly and was a wonderful guide. We were able to beat the crowds at the historic sites with the 7am tour. I’d highly recommend doing this tour.
