The tour starts at the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral and loops around central Paris, visiting the Louvre and crossing the Seine River twice before plunging into the famous Latin Quarter district, famous for its flourishing artistic and commercial scene.

At Notre Dame, we will see the newly restored outer perimeter and talk a little about what makes this cathedral one of the gems of Paris as well as the starting point for measuring all road distances in France.

We will then cross the Seine River on the Pont Neuf, the oldest of Paris’s 37 bridges along the Seine, connecting Ile Saint-Louis in the heart of Paris to the mainland left and right banks. An optional quick coffee stop awaits for those eager for a little caffeine to start the tour.

Next door sits the Louvre, which we will first see from the outside, including the exact spot where the recent 2025 robbery of the royal crown jewels took place. At this palace-turned-museum rich in French royal history, we will get to see the still-controversial juxtaposition of old and new Parisian architecture, with the Renaissance-style royal palace surrounding the modern glass pyramid entryway to the Louvre Museum.

Turning around to appreciate the Tuileries Gardens, this must-see park features ornate fountains, statues of important historical figures–including King Louis XIV and Julius Caesar–as well as the basin where the Olympic balloon for the 2024 Paris Olympics was kept and flown on display this summer.

Now on the Parisian West Bank, the next part of the tour explores the vibrant Saint-Germain neighborhood, with high-end boutiques and wine bars mixed in with cozy Parisian libraries, cafes and vintage clothing stores.

The tour then stops at one of the 2025 winners for best croissants in Paris, with simple but elegant décor and inventive twists on some of France’s most popular pastries.

After eating a delectably buttery and flaky snack, we will descend gently into the Jardin du Luxembourg, a breathtaking park in central Paris with two unforgettable large fountains overlooking a former royal palace, now the current French Senate building.

Reaching the Pantheon, we will have a stop to take in the size of the mausoleum, with columns 20 meters (65 feet) tall, then make our way to a bakery on the next block, another one of the 2025 best croissant bakeries in Paris.

The tour finishes with a Seine-ic tour through the Latin Quarter, with plenty of great spots for photos and more stunning views overlooking the beautiful boulevards of central Paris, as well as an invigorating run across the banks of Paris’s famous river.
