This tour is perfect if you have limited time and still want to see some of the bast parts of Stockholm. You will among other sights see the Old town, the Royal Castle, the Parliament and stunning views of the city.

We start off at the beautiful Stockholm City Hall, where the annual Noble Prize dinner is held. Moving on to old town we will pass the Parliament and the Royal Castle. In medieval Old Town we will run along narrow cobble stone alleys.
When arriving at Södermalm we will continue along narrow streets and green parks. A steep climb will take us to a 500-meter long walking path with a magnificent view of Lake Mälaren, the City Hall and Old Town and other points of interest. You will find the ascent well woth the effort. The path is lined with charming houses on one side and a beautiful view on the other. We will take care to stay on the right side of the safety rail on the path! Further on we pass the highest natural point in central Stockholm which is a favorite place among the locals for picnics and parties.
The idyllic island Långholmen is a popular recreation area for picnics and swimming. From the 18th century it was a prison island. However the prison is nowadays converted to a hostel and museum. There are also old shipyards, still in use.
After crossing Västerbron we will land in Rålambshovsparken where locals play boule, football, beach volley or show of the latest tricks on skate board. Between the park and City Hall we have Norr Mälarstrand, where you can enjoy beautiful early 20th century architecture on your left and the waterfront with boats cafes and boats on your right.

I loved this tour! Lars was a pleasure to run with and clearly is a Stockholm expert. He had good stories and took me to some of the most amazing viewpoints across the city. Such a treat to start the day this way, make sure you do it too!
