BERLIN IN 1933-1945 - 11K
Runner on the ground - NYKITA
Let’s embark on a tour of Berlin and discover its history. We can’t ignore the fact that in the period of 1933-1945, Germany was ruled by one of the most terrifying regimes in history, the totalitarian Third Reich. This unjust regime caused much harm, using propaganda and violence to suppress freedom and human rights. Many fought for freedom and thankfully, the regime was defeated. However, the cost of many lives was paid, and we must never forget those who fell victim to this regime.
During the tour, we’ll visit specific places related to this theme. We’ll start with the Reichstag, where Hitler came to power in 1933. The building was later rebuilt and became the home of the German parliament. We’ll also visit Bebelplatz, infamous as the site of the mass burning of “anti-German” books, and the memorial dedicated to it. We’ll see the remains of the Gestapo prison, where Nazis interrogated and executed their political opponents. We’ll visit memorials for the victims of Nazism, including Jews. We’ll also see the place of the underground bunker where Hitler shot himself at the end of World War II, the Memorial to the Soviet Army, and the Victory Column, reconstructed as part of plans to redevelop Berlin as the “Germania capital of World.”
We will also visit some other wonderful cosy corners of Berlin.
Join us on this unforgettable journey as we explore the dark history of Berlin in the years 1933-1945. Through visiting these sites, we’ll remember the past and its mistakes. We’ll honor those who fought for freedom and never forget the millions who fell victim to the totalitarian Third Reich. Let’s learn from history and ensure that peace and harmony always prevail. Come with us and experience the rich history of Berlin in a way that will stay with you forever.

Go running tours came highly recommended, and for good reason! Nykita was highly communicative, met us directly at our hotel, and was always accommodating of our pace and quick stops to take in interesting sights and places. He offered a ton of knowledge and great facts about Berlin that helped us get a sense of the history and of the city of Berlin itself. Very happy we got to try this tour, would definitely recommend!

This was the one of the biggest highlights of our weekend to Berlin. Nykita kept in touch and met us directly outside our hotel. His knowledge, friendly and positive demeanour made the run fun and interesting. Nykita ran at our pace and it was a pleasure to get to know him and the history of the city. It was a great introduction for us to find our bearings too. Would highly recommend
