CONRAD NEW YORK DOWNTOWN RUN - 5K
Runner on the ground - EMILY
Join us for an unforgettable running tour through the historic heart of Lower Manhattan, starting and finishing at the Conrad New York Downtown in Battery Park City. This guided run combines fitness with culture, taking you past some of New York City’s most iconic landmarks and hidden gems.
Your journey begins along the scenic Hudson River Esplanade, leading south to Battery Park, home to Castle Clinton—a former fort that served as America’s first immigration station before Ellis Island existed. From there, you’ll visit Bowling Green, NYC’s oldest public park, and the famous Charging Bull statue, which began as a guerrilla art installation and has become a symbol of financial optimism.
The route continues along Wall Street, where you’ll encounter Trinity Church, a stunning Gothic Revival structure and the final resting place of Alexander Hamilton. You’ll pass the New York Stock Exchange, founded in 1792, and pause at the Fearless Girl statue—a powerful symbol of empowerment and corporate diversity.
One of the most moving stops is the National September 11 Memorial, where twin reflecting pools occupy the exact footprints of the former Twin Towers. You’ll finish with a stop at Brookfield Place and the Winter Garden Atrium, featuring real palm trees and stunning waterfront architecture, before returning north to the Conrad.
This tour is perfect for runners who want to combine exercise with exploration, offering rich historical narratives at each landmark while exploring one of the world’s most fascinating financial and cultural districts.
