New York is famous for it’s many examples of beautiful and innovative buildings. Join this tour to see many of NYC’s finest examples of architecture; from busy Midtown to the quiet Upper East Side and Central Park, we’ll cover it all (and even see New York’s very own castle!).

Whether you’re an architecture buff or just love exploring, this tour is for you! Join this tour to see many of New York’s most famous buildings and architectural treasures. We’ll head from Times Square, the heart of the Theater District, to the New York Public Library and Grand Central Terminal, two beautiful examples of Beaux-Arts design. We’ll talk about the fight to save Grand Central before making our way past the iconic shops of 5th Avenue to St. Patrick’s Cathedral and The Plaza Hotel. We’ll then see two of NYC’s most famous museums before making our way into Central Park, where we’ll see NYC’s very own castle, hidden in plain sight. We’ll finish the tour by running through the park and downtown past Carnegie Hall.
We love this route because it has it all – the sights, streets, and smells of NYC! You can really feel the energy of the city in Midtown, and it’s a great combination of classic New York landmarks and quieter stretches away from the hustle and bustle, even in the heart of NYC.

I ran with Emily on a rainy day and it was an invigorating and fun experience; such a unique way to explore iconic places of NY. Emily was super friendly and informative; it felt like I was part of the local community, running with a friend, chatting about how cool NYC is. It was also easy to communicate about the meeting spot, etc. I greatly appreciated the suggestions about things to do and places to go to from a local New Yorker. Totally worth it. The 10K Architecture Tour was one of my absolute highlights during my NYC vacation. I absolutely loved it!
Emily kept me up to date on where to meet on email and we met for an early morning run in the sunshine! Emily is super knowledgeable and really fed my keen interest in buildings and architecture. Emily also has lots of fun facts along the route which I keenly relayed to my family for the rest of our trip!!
We toured a mix of city and park and a mix of the big icons as well as some hidden places I would never have seen.
If you are a keen runner or a new runner, Emily will adapt the route and pace to suit. I am a regular runner so Emily put me through my paces! It was great fun, I learned loads and I got to know a huge amount about the city during the run.
