THE CLIMB OF YOUR LIFE TOUR – 8K

This tour is a bit particular, to be honest. If it’s an extreme experience that you’re looking for, then this tour is for you!
It takes nearly half a day to do it. We will leave the city center by public transport to reach the cable car departure in France (about 10 km away, 25 min), just a few meters away from the border.
The run starts with a little flat section on a paved road for a couple of kilometers, just enough to warm up. Then the climb starts … and doesn’t stop until we reach the top of the mountain, about 900 meters above the departure point. The entire trail is a forest path and as you run here you can easily imagine yourself being part of a Lord of the Rings movie. It will be hard, you will sweat, probably hate yourself and us … but we promise that you won’t regret it as soon as you reach the top. You will be king/queen of the world at that moment.
There are a couple of spots during the climb where we can catch our breath and enjoy the view of Geneva and the lake. Once we reach the top, we will run the last flat section. This run back to the cable car station offers incredible views of the landscape and you will have a feeling of achievement like no other. Once we reach the cable car, we will take it downhill and then public transport back to Geneva city centre.
The public transport and the cable car tickets are included in the price.
As it’s a hard climb, this uphill trail is not doable if the ground is very wet (after several days of rain) as it tends to get slippery. You will need proper trail shoes
Water (0.5l) will be provided during the climb. As the effort is quite intense, you may want to take your own food (bar, gel, fruit paste) to fuel up during the run. The altitude at the top is about 1’200 meters, so please consider taking extra clothes (light jacket for ex.). We recommend bringing all this in a small running rucksack like a Camelbak or similar.
