Description
The Geneva Highlights running tour gives you an enjoyable and easy run in the city. With 6.8 miles / 11 km at your feet, this running tour leads you past the unmissable touristic spots. From stunning views of the Mont-Blanc to narrow cobbled stone streets and the secret passages of the old town, this tour is a whirlwind of impressions and a true insight to Geneva.
This running tour will guide you through the different neighborhoods, showing the best each of them have to offer: galleries and craft shops, trendy cafés, nightlife, park as well as architectural, historical and industrial heritage … and much more.
You will discover the medieval part of town starting from the water jet and then passing the beautiful Flower Clock. Then it is time to climb the former defense wall of Geneva, circle the cathedral, the old university and its secular park of the Bastions hosting the Reformation Wall.
The running tour continues along the river banks to reach the charming Carouge, the Sardinian town and its beautiful market place, ancient churches and temples.
Runners will enjoy several spectacular views along the bay and there is plenty of time to take photos by the main attractions.
This is an easy and flat route, and a running tour that suits all levels. You will have the opportunity to stop for pictures anytime you wish. We will pass several water fountains along the running route, so you don’t need to bring water.
Geneva Highlights is the unforgettable running experience for those who wants to see and feel Geneva for the first time!

Had a wonderful time with François! We ran 13km in Geneva, and as a city planner, he was able to tell me lot more details and fun trivia about Geneva, than an ordinary tour guide. Thank you <3

As with any Go! Running tour, we expect to be treated to an early morning tour of a new city that covers both the familiar and unfamiliar. The bonus is when we get an extra special guide like Charles whose warm nature and easy smile made for an invigorating morning in Geneva, the delights of which may not be particularly obvious to the casual visitor. You may even crash a formal city hall ceremony or contemplate the union of a cloudy French river and a clear Swiss river or stand in awe of a bridge that only Rolex could build. Highly recommended, particularly for first-time visitors.

What a great way to combine a sporty run with sightseeing. Charles met us promptly at the agreed time at the main trainstation. He regularly checked the pace and, despite us being average runners, we easily ran over 13k in almost two hours. The trail took us along the lake, into the Old City, across Plainpalais past the Rolex headoffice to the junction of the Rhone and Arve river. There is a bit of elevation, but nothing too difficult. Charles is a great host and makes regular stops to share interesting facts about the city; both historic and current. Do take advantage of his architectural knowledge. Although we would have loved to hear even more details, we can understand this has to be balanced with the available time. Charles surely took his time and was flexible to accommodate the route. He carried a bag for our phone and happily took pictures. We never felt pushed and loved the active way to enjoy the city. Highly recommended!

Charles met us promptly at 630pm in our hotel and was very nice.
He always checked to make sure pace was OK and the run tour of Geneva was just amazing. When it got a bit dark he lent us his lamps for safety. Even if Geneva has water fountains everywhere, he still brought extra water for us. Big THANK YOU to Charles for an amazing run and sharing your knowledge of this wonderful city.
