Beginning right in the heart of the city at Federation Square this tour heads along the Yarra River and towards the Docklands area.  We’ll go past the major highlights of Southbank and the Crown Casino complex. We will visit the newest part of our Central Business District and home to Marvel Stadium. We might even see a Marvel superhero or two!!

We will cross the Yarra River and head along through South Melbourne. On the way we’ll pass many of Melbourne’s famous restaurant and coffee locations – alas, we won’t stop and enjoy them – but you will now know where they are!

Turning into St Kilda Road we will visit the beautiful Arts Centre and National Gallery of Victoria, where we’ll stop for the famous water wall. Here we’ll see the trams trundle by and we’ll head towards the gardens, with marvelous views over the city.

My marathon pacing experience comes in handy here – knowing not only all the great tourist spots, but the drink fountains and toilets too!

Coming into site will be the spectacular sports precinct – tennis, rugby league, rugby union, cricket, football (we call it soccer!), Aussie Rules football and more are all played here.  We love our sports so much we built their homes right in the heart of the city!

This tour finishes as the Melbourne Marathon does – by running to the Melbourne Cricket Ground, a 100,000 stadium that is famous to sports, Olympics and rock concerts. Here we will visit the famous statues that surround her, before heading back to the city centre – and a great coffee.
