Description
New Yorkers are blessed with many bridges – 21 in fact (and 15 tunnels) connect the island of Manhattan to the rest of the world. This tour will run us over two iconic bridges – the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge.
The run starts at the beautiful New York City Hall where we then make our way to the gorgeous historic Brooklyn Bridge. Luckily, the elevation gain on the bridge is minor – it’ll be the people we’ll need to watch out for! Best run in the morning around sunrise, it’s surprising the difference once New Yorkers are awake and commuting to work! We’ll be rewarded with the beautiful New York City skyline.
The tour will lead us into Dumbo where we’ll see the underside of the Manhattan Bridge before making our way onto it. We’ll run by and explore Brooklyn Bridge Park along the East River and enjoy the New York harbor. You’ll be surprised to see how the NYC skyline looks different from both bridges before we spill out into the hustle and bustle of Chinatown! We’ll run by the crowded stores, supermarkets, stands, restaurants, and cafés in the heart of Chinatown.
While surprisingly neither of these bridges are crossed during the world major New York City Marathon, you will still feel like you worked hard to earn the NYC skyline views! There will be ample opportunities to stop and take in the views and take pictures to last a lifetime. Our running shoes will get to take steps on the bridges where films such as Spiderman, I am Legend, Sherlock Holmes, Enchanted, and the Godfather took place.
Once you’re finished with this tour, you’ll understand why New York City is an excellent (and challenging) place to run but why it’s so rewarding! Come run with us!

Perfect start in the day with Emily this morning, running 10 k across the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. Great views and good workout. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I booked the 10k classic bridges tour for our visit to NYC in May. Victoria was very communicative in advance of the run and we met as agreed. The route was excellent and we saw many gems that we never would have found alone.
Victoria was a great guide and went the extra mile to provide lots of “recs” for the rest of our stay!
