OAXACA JUST RUN – 21K

A 21K run in Oaxaca for anyone who wants to keep moving rather than stop for sightseeing. The route changes depending on where you are staying and what the streets are like that day, with the aim of making the run as straightforward as possible.

OAXACA JUST RUN - 21K

Runner on the ground - FAHAD

The 21K Just Run is for runners who want to get a long run done while they are in Oaxaca. There is less emphasis on sightseeing stops and more on finding a route where we can keep moving.

I do not use one fixed 21K course. Oaxaca traffic changes a lot during the day, and the best route also depends on where you are staying. I plan it around the starting point and the streets that make sense that morning.

From central Oaxaca, we may run east toward Cinco Señores and use sections of the cycling path through Santa Lucía del Camino. On another day, it may make more sense to stay closer to the city and connect different neighbourhoods. The route does not need to be the same every time.

We still pass through interesting parts of Oaxaca, and there is plenty of time to talk while we run. If you want recommendations for places to eat, coffee, other running routes or things to do during your stay, just ask.

This is not a coached training session. If you have a pace you normally run for 21K, add it to your booking. The idea is simply to find a suitable route and run it together without having to keep checking directions.

Hotel pick-up is possible when your accommodation fits the route. If it does not, we meet at Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzmán and start from there.
