Perth is a city that enjoys a climate for outdoor activities all year round. The City overlooks the Swan River with great pedestrian and dual-use paths to suit everyone, especially when running in Perth. If you prefer the ocean there are plenty of running routes following the beautiful coastline and you will see how popular this is; particularly in the morning and evenings and you can even finish with a dip in the water at one of our pristine white sand beaches. If you are staying in the city it is easy to throw your running shoes on and head out the hotel for a run. The best time is early in the morning when the sun has just risen and there is a slight breeze with a view of the glass-like river.
I have been running in the city for many years and there are plenty of options from flat running to some hills and trails in the beautiful Kings Park in the middle of the city. There is so much to see and explore that no run will be the same as the last one. What better way to explore the city than with a local running guide from Go! Running Tours Perth
The City of Perth promotes a healthy lifestyle and offers a number of activities for adults and kids.
Some of the more popular running routes are running the “Bridges” which can be from 10km up to 16km for one lap depending on whether you cross the Narrows, Causeway, Matagarup or Windan Bridges.
There is no need to bring water with you as you will find plenty of water taps with plenty of fresh quality water…… and toilets if you feel the need!
