Running sightseeing, running tours, sightjogging and sightrunning are all popular names for one and the same – sightseeing while running!
Running sightseeing is healthy, fun and very personal. At Running Copenhagen, we run in smaller groups with a local Copenhagener as your guide, so in addition to of course give you the historical facts and anecdotes of our many attractions, your guide will also share “their” Copenhagen and the good and bad of life in Copenhagen and Denmark. We guide in an informal manner, where there is plenty of time to chat with the guide and fellow runners, and of course get tips and recommendations on what else to do in our fantastic capital.
Running sightseeing is also a very effective type of sightseeing. OK you have gone on holiday and the last thing you want to do is be effective and optimise. But here is the deal – within 90 mins on our Private City Tour you see all the main sights in Copenhagen (and no we don’t rush – we simply live in a tiny capital :-)) and leave with heaps of tips and recommendations from the guide on what else to do in our city. We like to encourage people to see the “true” side of Copenhagen, so while The Little Mermaid and Nyhavn, is of course a “must do” in Copenhagen, there is much more to our city and with our running tours you will have heaps of time to discover other sides of Copenhagen.
Last but not least, our tours will not only provide you with good exercise but also with a good conscience, so that you can go out and enjoy a nice meal without feeling guilty when also having the desert.
And if what you have read sounds a bit too good to be true, trust the words of our previous customers:
“This running tour was the highlight of my recent short business trip to Copenhagen.
I’d really recommend it – it was the best thing we did in our weekend in Copenhagen.”
“The tour is so much fun and such a unique way to explore the city and Lena, our guide, was so thoughtful and friendly. Highly recommended. Skip the usual and do the unusual!”
“For those looking to get some exercise while also sight seeing this a must do. 5 stars all the way around…I’d love to do this same type of thing in another city.”
“Usually I am stuck on the treadmill in the basement of my hotel when I travel because I’m unsure of where to run in a new city, so this tour was the perfect way for me to get my run in, see the beautiful Copenhagen and make a new friend! Thank you so much!”
“A perfect way to see some of the sights that are off the beaten tourist track, with an informative, amiable and down-to-earth guide. I did the running tour around Christiania at dawn. It enabled me to see parts of the town that a normal tourist would not see, and also it was great to hear about aspects of living in Copenhagen from a local.”
