This marathon is a unique running race held annually on New Year’s Day. Participants get a once in a lifetime chance to “Run the Track” of the world-renowned Shanghai International Formula 1 Circuit. Running since 2015, this running race has become a tradition for many runners to celebrate the new year with health, energy, and ambition.
Standard Chartered Run

The Standard Chartered Shanghai 10km Run started in 2018. This running trace is part of the many races organized by Standard Charter including the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon and the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, which are well-known in Asia.
In 2025, the Standard Chartered Shanghai 10km Run started and ended at the at the Expo Celebration Square and extending along the Huangpu River. Runners could choose to participate in the full 10k race or join the family run which is a 2k run for those looking for a more enjoyable and leisure experience.
Conquer the Wall Marathon
Date: 9 May 2026
While this running race does not take place in Shanghai, it is a one of a kind experience that will have a lifetime of memories. Imagine running through the Gubeikou and Jinshanling sections of the Great Wall? Participants will have the opportunity to see old parts and newly restored parts of the wall that aren’t visited very often.
Conquer the Wall Marathon race course has 20,518 countable steps for the full marathon. This race offers a full marathon, a half marathon, a 10K and a 5k.
