GENEVA BY THE WATER TOUR – 7 KM
Runner on the ground - FRANCOIS
Leaving behind the well-known Geneva Bay and its “most wanted” views of the city, the water jet and the mountains, we will soon run off the beaten tracks. You will embark on a visit combining the emblematic places where Man and water intermingled in the past, and still do.
From the locks controlling the lake level to the actual production of electricity, following the silent but mighty rivers on their way to the sea, this easy run will lead us through interesting neighborhoods as well as very animated and popular spots in summertime.
Always keeping “eye contact” with the water, the running tour fluctuates between the water level (and even sometimes over the water) to a couple of higher spots allowing unusual views of the unknown part of town, though situated right in the center.
You will be standing at the very spot where two rivers with distinct colors meet: the Rhône, quietly running out from the lake, and the tumultuous Arve coming down directly from the French Alps. After this very unique view, we climb through the woods for a short while, to get better views of the water and Geneva, and then we run back to the city centre. No guidebook will ever give you this experience.
As we go along water for most of the tour and for a little while in the forest, this run has the advantage to keep you cool during the warmest days.
You will never think of Geneva the same after this tour!

We decided to try the Go Running tour of Geneva whilst on a lads trip from Wales and we weren’t disappointed. It was a fantastic and unique way to see Geneva and reset from the heavy night before!
Francois was swift communicating and arranging the running tour for us on short notice. On the day Pauline was a top, fun and insightful guide who as well showing the main highlights of the lake and river, also showed us some unique spots that we would never have found on our own. We would both highly and definitely recommend A+

What a wonderful way to start a morning! If you love running and want to experience Geneva before the crowds, this is the tour to take! François Is an amazing running guide and a wonderful human being who will make sure you see the highlights as well as the parts of Geneva that tourists rarely get to enjoy. His stories, good humor and insights make the minutes and miles fly by. Plus he’s extremely accommodating, tailoring our tour to my unique needs and interests. Go running in any city is a treat and this one in particular hits it out of the park! Can’t wait to take my next tour on Tuesday!

Francois is a fantastic guide. Friendly, a good runner and a pleasure to chat to whilst running!
The tour took me to some places I have never seen before on previous trips to the city. It made for a wonderful run and some perfect views and photographs.
I would do this tour again if I am lucky enough to be back in Geneva.

From Boston, MA, US. I had an amazing city run with Charles for my first morning ever visiting Geneva.
Running makes me feel like I’m part of the city and having somebody familiar with the scene was perfect for identifying places I wanted see more of.
Great conversation and insights and an easy pace that I needed after a long day of travel the previous day.
I highly recommend this experience for other travelers (business or vacation) as a fun way to get to know Geneva.
Thanks!

The trip this morning was amazing and more than what we expected. Geneva is much more charming than what we thought.
The tour has totally changed our view on the city. My mom was very happy with morning running.
