JARAGUA PEAK – A VERTICAL CHALLENGE INSIDE SAO PAULO – 10K

Experience a “Run Through Time” on a geological formation that is older than the Himalayas. This immersive mountain run takes place within the limits of the largest city in the Southern Hemisphere, starting at the base of the the Mountain. We begin at the transition from urban sprawl into nearly 491,000 square meters of protected Atlantic Forest, running past the historic Guarani-Mbya Indigenous Village.

We offer you complete flexibility to tailor your experience based on your preferred running style. You can choose to follow the steady 7% gradient on the paved road, a route steeped in history dating back to the 16th-century gold rush led by Afonso Sardinha. Alternatively, if you prefer a more technical challenge, you can opt for the trail run option, which navigates through the heart of the lush forest. Whether you choose the road or the trail, the ascent rewards you with the same fading city noise, replaced by the sounds of native wildlife like Capuchin monkeys and Green-billed toucans, you choose your own Adventure!

Upon reaching the 1,135-meter summit, you are rewarded with a panoramic view of the vast urban sprawl, key logistics corridors like the Rodoanel, and even the distant Roda Rico ferris wheel.

For those seeking an extra push, we offer the “Bonus Challenge”: a 250-step climb up the iconic radio antenna platforms for the highest publicly accessible view in the city. Our descent is a reflective 5 km journey back to the base. This tour isn’t about streets or landmarks, it’s about earning every meter of elevation to see São Paulo from a perspective few ever reach.

PICK-UP SERVICE

Pick-up service from your hotel/apartment or another meeting point is possible and will be checked by the tour provider individually. If your hotel/apartment should be too far away from the city centre or not close to the tour route, then we will meet you at our standard meeting point.
