SAN DIEGO BAY HALF MARATHON – 21K

In the San Diego half marathon tour, we will warm up with the Embarcadero and Seaport Village areas which feature beautiful water views. We’ll hit some highlights of the southern portion of downtown, including the Marina Parks and the new Rady Shell Concert venue. Once our legs are warm, we will head west toward one of the many stunning islands surrounding the San Diego bay.

The Maritime Museum featuring submarines and an older sailing vessel, along with the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier and Waterfront Park will give you some inspiration for further areas to explore later.  Harbor Island, with its gorgeous views and flat elevation will become your new favorite spot for this easy run. One quick climb up the Harbor Drive bridge will showcase San Diego’s Downtown and give you several gorgeous photo opportunities that you won’t want to miss.

There will be a few great restaurants we’ll pass downtown and along the bay, for carb fueling later. You’ll see a few different neighborhoods which have an interesting variety of modern and vintage architecture. San Diego’s downtown is a very modern and vibrant city, yet it retains a vintage and chill vibe. A number of plazas in Little Italy will be passed all with good foodie recommendations.

We will hit a number of spots on popular race routes and we’ll have the option for discussing each of these if you like. You won’t want to miss this fun tour with an easy, mostly flat route, for a very fun and laid back So Cal style half marathon.

This tour will feature more boats, small and large, commercial and private, old and new, than you can imagine. The breathtaking water views where you can see downtown from many angles will show you why San Diego is truly America’s Finest City.

PICK-UP SERVICE
Pick-up service from your hotel/apartment or another meeting point is possible and will be checked by the tour provider individually. If your hotel/apartment should be too far away from the city centre or not close to the tour route, then we will meet you at our standard meeting point.
